Glasskin NFT
Glasskin is a conceptual NFT character collection featuring translucent, nature-inspired dolls. It frames digital collectibles as moments of emotional comfort rather than speculation, with a landing page featuring immersive visuals and textured interactions.
The Challenge
The NFT space is typically associated with high energy, gaming aesthetics, and speculation-driven messaging. Most platforms emphasize urgency, scarcity, and financial gain. With Glasskin, I wanted to explore emotional differentiation: how might an NFT be positioned as a source of calm and resonance rather than investment hype?
01 Ideation
Core Concept
I define the Glasskin World as a quiet digital sanctuary within the Web3 ecosystem. This direction establishes the foundation for the storytelling and visual language of the landing page. The project explores how digital collectibles can embody softness, presence, and subtle emotional depth. Transparent glass was chosen to symbolize fragility, purity, and emotional openness, reflecting the project’s goal of calm, introspective digital companions.
02 Development
AI Character Generation
To create a cohesive series of AI-generated characters, I built a structured prompt system controlling lighting, proportions, material detail, and camera settings. Through iterations, I refined descriptors to reduce style drift and selected outputs that maintained consistent realism, lighting, and personality across the series.
03 Design
Visual System
The visual system is designed to reinforce softness, and emotional presence, with the pairing result in a serene digital environment.
Typography:
Instrument Serif brings elegance and subtle character, supporting the brand’s poetic tone. Public Sans ensures readability and a clean interface.
Color Palette:
Soft pastel blues, purples, muted reds, and diffused oranges blend in gradients reminiscent of a morning mist sky, creating depth without heaviness and maintaining calm continuity.
Glass Texture:
Glass-textured cards extend the characters’ material language into the UI, using translucent layers and soft blur for dimensionality while preserving minimalism.
Landing Page
The Glasskin landing page brings the project’s emotional intention into a cohesive digital experience. The page guides users through the world gently, using spacious layouts, muted gradients, and refined typography to support clarity and presence.
05 Reflection
Reflection & Take-aways
This project strengthened my approach to intentional AI art direction. While generative tools sped up exploration, consistency and emotional clarity required structured prompting, curation, and system thinking, sharpening my ability to translate abstract feelings into a tangible interface.
